๐Ÿ‘‰ Are you fed up with not finishing your creative projects?

๐Ÿ‘‰ Do you fear starting something because you know you wonโ€™t finish it too?

๐Ÿ‘‰ Is it making you lose confidence in yourself?

๐Ÿ‘‰ Is the ever-increasing pile of WIPs demotivating you?

5 ๐’‰๐’‚๐’„๐’Œ๐’” ๐’•๐’ ๐’‡๐’Š๐’™ ๐’Š๐’• ๐’‡๐’๐’“๐’†๐’—๐’†๐’“ >>>

As a creative person, itโ€™s very natural for your mind to be all over the place.

Set this rule for yourself: I wonโ€™t start anything else unless I finish this project or kill it forever.

This way, your mind will always come back no matter how much it wanders.

Because it knows the only way to get to do those other exciting things is to finish off this one.

๐Ÿ. ๐Œ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง ๐š๐ง ๐ˆ๐๐ž๐š ๐‰๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ฅ

Once you get a new idea, you get this urge to start working on it right away.

Itโ€™s like a bomb that kills your motivation to finish the current work.

The only way to diffuse it and save your motivation is to document the idea.

Once you write it in detail, youโ€™ll see the urge to jump onto it right away has reduced.

Now you can focus on the task at hand in peace.

When starting a project, think it through and write down why you are choosing it.

If youโ€™re already in the middle of a project, pause and reflect on why you started it.

Refer to it every time you feel demotivated.

Sometimes itโ€™s not your fault that you are distracted.

You might be burnt out.

Take a break and do something completely unrelated for a few days.

Caution: Always set a deadline for when your break ends. Otherwise, you may never get back. (Been there, done that. HAHAHA!)

Whatever motivates you.

- Talk about it to your friends/family

- Announce the release date to your followers

- Give your friend some money and ask them not to return it if you donโ€™t meet the deadline. (This worked wonderfully for me at one point.)

Aim to become self-disciplined over time.

Till then, try whatever hacks suit you best to stay accountable.

1. Donโ€™t start anything else

2. Maintain an Idea Journal

3. Write down your WHY

4. Take a break

5. Set up accountability
